I hardly update anymore because Olivia keeps me very busy. Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks. She just turned 11 weeks old yesterday. She is getting so big and when she got weighed the other day my little piglet was 14 pounds, 3 and a half oz. I wasn't 14 pounds until I was close to 5 months old, haha.

Thank God this pregnancy is almost over. I am sooooo done!! I feel like an old lady and can hardly move. I tried to be "intimate" last weekend and boy was that a joke. I was so self conscious about my body that I couldn't enjoy myself, haha. I started out at 97 pounds (I'm 5'1) and am now 131. I want my body back!
I can't wait to meet this little girl. I've been having contractions for the past few days so I am hoping I go a little earlier than my due date. BTW - I decided on a name. Olivia Leigh.

This pregnancy has been nothing but stress so far. I'll try to make this as short as possible...
In September, I went in for one of my monthly OB checkups. The doctor told me I might have cervical cancer, so I freaked out. I had a coloscopy done and it turned out to be nothing, thank the lord. That was the first heart attack. In October I went to get my "anatomical assessment" ultrasound and got the good news that my baby was a little girl! I was sooooo happy, well, for one day at least! The next morning at my monthly doctor visit she went over the ultrasound results and said two soft markers for a chromosomal defect were found. First one was an Echocentric Cardiac Fochus (bright spot in her heart) and the second was Choroid Plexus Cysts (pockets of fluid) in her brain. I freaked out yet again. I was sent to a pediatric cardiologist to have a fetal echo done on the baby's heart and it turned out to be NOTHING. The bright spot they found (which they thought might be a heart defect) was just an area of tight muscle in the left ventricle that turned white when the soundwaves from the ultrasound bounced back to the screen. From there I went to a genetic counselor who told me that the cysts in the brain were normal in fetal development but because there was also an EIF in the heart, the chances of me having a baby with Edwards Syndrome (Trisomy 18) went to 1 in 113. Edwards Syndrome is 100 times worse than Down Syndrome. The babies are severely sick and don't usually survive very long after birth. The counselor suggested an amnio to rule out Edwards Syndrome and any other chromosomal defects so I did it. What they do during the amnio is stick a huge needle in your belly, through your uterus and take a sample of amniotic fluid from the baby to grow and then count the chromosomes and make sure baby is normal. It didn't hurt a bit, but waiting for the results was tough. On Wednesday I got the good news....I was having a healthy baby girl! I am so relieved and now I can enjoy the last three months of my pregnancy. I even took the baby to her first concert the other night to celebrate: Rob Thomas. I think she enjoyed it, haha.

Dog rape attempt goes astray

A THAI man was mauled when he drunkenly tried to rape a dog which fiercely resisted his advances, news reports said yesterday.
Police in Samut Prakan province, on Bangkok's southeastern fringes, told the Thai Rath newspaper that Toryip Rawang, 33, had been drinking heavily with friends before Monday's incident.
Toryip was questioned by police after residents of the area notified local authorities when they saw the bloodied man walking along a road.
He told police he noticed a brown female stray dog wagging its tail and "acting sexy" and pulled it into some tall grass by the roadside.
But the dog resisted, biting him on his face, chest and arms before he gave up his attempt and tried to stagger home.
Under further questioning Toryip admitted to previously raping three dogs while he was under the influence of alcohol.
He told police he always became aroused when he drank heavily but did not have enough money to pay a prostitute.
Police said Toryip had been given a rabies shot and was not charged with a crime, but he had fled his home in an apparent effort to avoid public ridicule.

I just got a huge one bedroom apartment on 14th Street in Manhattan. I am moving in on February 28th and invite anyone that's in the area to get in touch if they would like to hang out. My current apartment is too small to have friends over, which is why I haven't extended invitations to anyone in the past 6 months. I am very excited and hope that all goes well.
Gotta get back to work.

It's snowing pretty heavily outside right now. I would like to be able to enjoy it and run around like an ass outside but I am at my parent's house in Queens and don't have the proper shoes or jacket. Those are all at my apartment in the city. I don't think the 3 inch stiletto boots I have here are good snow shoes...
I will probably be stuck here until tomorrow evening. Keep your fingers crossed that they close all of the NYC Public Schools, cause if they do, I don't have to go to work on Monday!

I am moving out of my house finally! I got an apartment in Manhattan in the East Village. I should be in there by the middle of August. I am soooo excited and happy that I will not have to commute into the city anymore. The block I will be living on is awesome. Ok, time to eat dinner.

So...I bought a puppy last week. She's an English Bulldog and I named her Lily. Oh my god, she is adorable. She snorts and snores and loves to be cuddled. I took her to the vet this morning for her first visit and she is perfectly healthy, thank goodness.
I took some pictures and I'll probably get them developed this week so I can post a few on here.

I think I am going to be getting a puppy within the next couple of months. I've been researching numerous English Bulldog breeders and making plans to puppy-proof my house. I have wanted a bulldog since I was about 5 and now I can actually afford one on my own.
I'd like to write a little more right now, but I cannot keep my eyes open. My office is moving to a new location next week and I have been packing for five days straight. My body is very mad at me right now.
